Goldfrapp really hit it out of the park on this album. It's their best ever in my opinion. They find a formula to perfectly fuse their trip-hop quirky stylings with uptempo 80's roller disco/Xanadu inspired sounds to create something beautiful and triumphant. The sizzling opening number calling out a recent ex- sets the tone
Mellower, but Great Hooks
The sound here is more triphoppy than the earlier more mechanical sounds of Black Cherry and Supernature (and still found in "Shiny and Warm"). Fortunately, songs like "Dreaming, Believer" and "Rocket" have plenty of energy infused into the hooks to go with the warmer sound. But I really love the spooky vibe of "Hunt"

I think this is THE BEST Goldfrapp album ever! Do yourself a favor and buy this album!
