I wasn't a huge Iron Maiden fan but I did check them out in concert.... Most amazing show I ever saw.... This band is to Rock what Orchestras are to classical music.... I want everything they have ever put out.

  • Vintage Maiden

I have seen Maiden live 14+ times and scheduled to see them on The Book of Souls tour. Bruce still can pipe out the tunes along with solid rythmic beat backing up his voice. Nicko on the drums keeps it all in time. Maiden has a style of Rock-Metal all their own and are still on top of the game. I enjoyed this album. For all you naysayers about wanting another xxxx. The beauty of music is not to be cookie cutter. There will always only be one Piece of Mind, Number of the Beast, Brave New World,.... To me this album captures the vintage beat of Maiden with their style but puts a new twist on it. Keep rocking Bruce, Steve, Nicko, Adrian, and team..

Iron Maiden is in top form with The Book of Souls. If you love their long epics, this album is for you. I just saw this album on iTunes' list of Hot Albums, which is fitting considering that every band member is burnin' throughout the record. If you don't own it, do yourself a favor and buy The Book of Souls. However, the opening riff from If Eternity Should Fail sounds eerily similar to parts of The Lost Christmas Eve (title track) by TSO.
