I'll skip right over Ariana Grande... I always get excited when I see a deluxe soundtrack become available. However, I feel like this one dropped the ball a bit. Without being rude, the demos could have been left off completely. I appreciate the opportunity to see how the songs transformed into what they are now, however dialogue could have greatly improved the deluxe soundtrack. I have other deluxe soundtracks and thoroughly enjoy when dialogue is included with the songs, almost like an audio movie. With this soundtrack some dialogue is included and left out completely on other tracks. I feel it wold have been so much better to include it in the Paris scene where Belle opens up about her childhood but it's not there, where it's all over the beginning of the album with Gaston and Belle but then skips a big chunk. I find myself skipping a lot of things. But I do enjoy the instrumental portion of the soundtrack that follows after the finale and demos. Unfortunately, is say skip deluxe and just stick to the cheaper option. I don't see the point in bashing the whole thing over who they chose to sing the song everyone knows and loves. I agree better choices could have been made, personally I can't stand Ariana Grande but it is what it is...
  • Why so much hate??

I honestly can't understand all the hate for this album! It isn't perfect, that's true. But it is to me exactly what I think a re-imagining of a classic should be: The feel of the old/the aspects of the classic that we love yet an advance in score and scopes to keep up with the times. Yes, it's different but that's what a remake should be! I think that Days in the Sun is absolutely beautiful and I almost wish it had been the cartoon! Evermore is equally enchanting while haunting at the same time. I am a hardcore Beauty and the Beast fan and was skeptical that this live action would ruin it, but I am so pleasantly surprised by it! I especially love all of the backstory that was included in this movie because it's like really great fan fiction lol! Anyways I think this is just so lovely and am so thankful that I got to see it in the theater as many times as I did. 🥀🌹

I am in love with the original soundtrack, and I love this one even more!! Alan Menken did an astounding job capturing the emotion and drama of both the stories. If you loved the first movie, you will adore this soundtrack for the second. Enjoy!!

A beautiful soundtrack for a beautiful movie. The film itself was amazing enough, but the music just made it so much more touching. Disney has picked some very talented voices for this album. Some of the songs on here are so powerful that I almost cried the first time I heard them. Good work Disney, I love it xx
  • It pains me to give this a bad review

I really enjoy this soundtrack BUT I really think adding John Legend and Ariana Grande into it to ruin a classic Disney song was very unnecessary. Ariana's voice doesn't go with the tone of the song. Overall good things about this soundtrack and the movie.
