Overall it's a nice soundtrack but I cannot stand the amount of auto-tune used for Emma Watson's voice even in the film! My favorite song on the whole soundtrack was Dan Stevens' "Evermore", I started crying during that entire scene. I've loved him ever since his "Downton Abbey" days and was so happy to hear when he got this role! For those who are skeptical about seeing the film, go see it. It's really well done.

Emma Watson is one of my favorite actors and she did a great job singing and playing Belle. Everybody else portrayed their part perfectly and it was an awesome soundtrack and movie❤️

I love this movie and all of the music in it! Emma Watson was the perfect person for this role. Her singing is sweet/calm and fits perfectly with the role of Belle. Wouldn't change a thing about it. Amazing music and great details!

Just buy Evermore. The only song worth purchase.
  • Don't Mess With A Classic

Why must we continue to recreate, redo, retry... Leave the original alone! We must always "pop" it better to a new audience when in the vault rests the classic work of masterful creative art. I simply did not like this musical soundtrack to a new movie version of Beauty and the Beast.

I understand why all of you are mad. I know they ruined a classic but let's not focus what's at the end of the movie, let's focus on what's in the movie. Listen to all of these absolutely amazing songs, I just saw the movie and I'm buying them now. Focus on Be Our Guest, Belle, Evermore, and so so so many more that you loved instead of the one your didn't. Because this movie was absolutely amazing in every single way. ❤️❤️
  • Menken is a master, Legend/Grande a disaster

Alan Menken’s score is lush and magical, expanding on the 1991 film’s already beautiful score, and the new songs fit right in with the original favorites to give the characters more depth. I especially enjoy “How Does A Moment Last Forever” sung by Kevin Kline and again by Emma Watson (who has a nice, gentle singing voice. This isn’t Broadway, people), and “Evermore” for the Beast (take your pick of Dan Stevens or Josh Groban – both are great!). “Gaston” is especially fun with the lyric changes and Josh Gad and Luke Evans must have had a great time with it. I noticed a lot of 1-star reviews here are specifically for the title song by John Legend and Ariana Grande. I’d give that song 0 stars if I could. I’m not a fan of either singer, and when compared to the original by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson, it lacks the power and sounds like a karaoke track with two demo singers. It deserved so much better. Overall, though, great film and great music!
