What a wonderful voice! And so awesome to hear, great dinner music as well
Soothing tone and sound but not all that suitable for jazz!
I like how soothing her voice is, but I feel like her "tone" doesn't quite suit jazz very well. And it doesn't do some of the songs much justice, especially Ella's, "Blue Skies" You look @ Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald, those are jazz artists. I feel like Diane's voice would suit Country or Rock better. But it is still a sound I would like to hear more off. She has such a unique tone. Although I find it a little too "dark" I do enjoy it!
wonderful heart in each song
Looking forward to seeing you in two weeks. Reno NV
I Love this album. With this fast pace world its nice to have an album you can just sit back and relax with. Lv it
Back to Basics
Finally Diana is back to doing what she does best singing the standards. The period between"The Look of Love" and now was OK but this new "Quiet" album blows all the others away . Not only a sexy, sultry voice but great piano and back up arrangements. My only critique would be in mixing where she is too close to the microphone causing heavy breathing with lip smacking. Otherwise, welcome home Diana.

She just gets deeper, more relaxed, hotter and more sultry.
As though she blows soft kisses into my ear.
And to think she started at Berklee as a piano player~ at which she is also amazing.
Better than Ambien

I really do like Diana Krall, but seriously, I put this album on and 30 seconds later I was unconscious. If you are very young (like a newborn) or a senior (in a home) watching your last precious moments of life slip away, this one is for you. Come on, Diana -- wake up! I know you have it in you. Try making some music for the living.
...you're back doing what you do best, Diana!

This is what it's all about! If you don't enjoy this please check your pulse. I could listen to Diana sing the phone book but this is the best thing I've heard in a very very long time. Thank you Diana for being Diana and making this man from Alabama a true jazz fan.
A Big Fan
Oh, did I want to love this album. I have many of her albums and can't think of one I don't like. This one is just a little dry. I kept waiting for that spark. No worries though, I will anxiously await her next album.
