Upon hearing the “old fans” complain about the singles over and over, I realized that there is no definition of “old fan” anyway. I have been listening to muse since I was 15 years old (14 years) and have loved the experimental nature of their music.
This album is no exception. I preordered the super deluxe box set. When it came in, what progressed was an excited MUSE listener with new music to rock out to.
I may not be able to afford tour tickets but at least I can rock out in my broken down van!
As a fan of 14 years I can say that I am not disappointed in any way. Pretty much all of the 5 star ratings nail my emotional and technical reactions to this, so just go read them and pretend this tired mom wrote all of that too, okay?
Seriously. Love this album.
A journey back a trip
I only wish the algorythm allowed this masterpiece last longer.
This is an awesome album.
I love the new style! I know it’s a shift in a different direction compared to their previous albums, but I think if they didn’t do this, then they would just be stuck in the same sound. They’re like Queen, their sound would kind of change album to album after A Night At The Opera. And that’s ok! Band’s that can change sounds like this show that they are truly a talented group of individuals with great amounts a creativity.
Muse. Keep being Muse, one of the best bands of our generations. Love you guys!

Listening to each little sample of each song, this album reminded me of the 1927 movie Metropolis. Being a silent film, the music would make watching that classic better. It would probably make a lot of sci-fi movie watching better.
Pressure, Pressure, Pressure!
This song alone gives this album 5 stars! But, I love Thought Contagion, Something Human, Dark Side, Algorithm, and Dig Down too! Muse Forever!

Cool + beautiful turn for Muse, backed by clever writing, production/layering.
I'd rather listen to
a senior citizen farting in a public place where it smells like they crapped their pants yet refuse to acknowledge. This album is one of those grandpa and grandma farts
Muse’s iconic Sound with a Refreshing Twist

This album is dramatic, fun, catchy, full of nostalgic charm, and is a great journey through every single track. I enjoy the unconventional politics, instrumentality, and variety of sounds. Complex pop, electronic choruses, and orchestral accents make this band stand out. Worth a listen!
I loved Drones from the first listen, but this one will have to grow on me, I think. Some decent tracks, but not getting me too excited.
