  • Tried & True or Push the Envelope?

Diana does NOT disappoint! If you try to put her in a box you will be missing out on her ability to explore bounds not set in any standard that is the beauty of Jazz. She has remixed these songs and made them her own. Give the lady credit, her voice is still the same, her presentation fits the genre and she is great to relax to with a glass or bottle of wine alone or with your significant other. I recommend this installment and look for the next. Definitely a keeper in your Diana collection!

I saw DK on The Colbert Report singing Glad Rag Doll and have never been the same since. I bought this album the same day. Her smoky vocals against the backdrop of gentle instrumentation is a hit in my book. Some of the songs on this album are light and others are truly heartbreaking. This album is a keeper. I am embarrassed for not knowing her music before now. Late to the party, but so glad I finally showed up.
  • A breath of fresh air

It sounds to me like a ton of people are just butthurt that she didn't stick to sappy love songs and actually sang music with real feeling. The mellow and melancholic tones to her voice and the cool background are a breath of fresh air. She has the perfect voice for this music.

I am a huge fan for her. This CD is not like any of her previous CDs. The song selection is not good. Onto the next one.

Reading all the negative reviews prior to listening to the album had me expecting little from this album. What a surprise! I love many of the cuts and the production is fabulous. Glad she took this little side trip. Looking forward to the tour!

  • Diana is being herself

In this album Diane moves away from the tried and tested jazz format. They are going back to the early mid nineties. The relaxed atmosphere is wonderful and makes one part of the occasion Check out the video of the interview for the album Congrats Diana for trying something new and taking us along with you Great Album

I really enjoyed the new album. The new guitar player is excellent! I liked the obscure songs. One has to follow the artist instead of trying to lead the artist. It's different and I like the difference. She's growing.
