About 96K Rock

Everything That Rocks on 96.1 FM in Southwest Florida

96K Rock is a rock station on 96.1 FM serving Fort Myers, Naples and Southwest Florida, under the slogan "Everything That Rocks". Its FCC licence is for WRXK-FM, licensed to Bonita Springs, Florida, and held by Sun Broadcasting, Inc. Sun bought the station from Beasley Media Group in 2026.

The station first signed on in September 1974 as WLEQ, a Top 40 station branded "96 Super Q". In 1986 it moved from 95.9 to 96.1 with a power increase to 100,000 watts, which brought its signal across much of Southwest Florida, and it switched to rock. Its website promotes local shows and ticket giveaways. The contest line is 239-495-9696, and the station's offices are at 12641 Corporate Lakes Drive in Fort Myers.

RADIO JOX plays the station's StreamTheWorld (Triton Digital) stream, the same service behind its official web player. The site's player configuration names the Triton station WRXKFM. RADIO JOX built the address from StreamTheWorld's public stream pattern, and the stream identifies itself as WRXKFM.
