About Q94.5 All Rock
All Rock. All the Time. On 94.5 FM in the Rio Grande Valley
Q94.5 All Rock is Entravision's rock station for the Rio Grande Valley, playing rock, alternative and classics under the slogan "All Rock. All the Time." Its FCC licence is for KFRQ on 94.5 FM, licensed to Harlingen, Texas, and held by Entravision Holdings, LLC. The station's offices are at 801 North Jackson Road in McAllen.
The station began around 1960 as easy-listening KELT-FM, co-owned with KGBT radio and television. Personalities from KGBT-TV, including anchorman Frank "FM" Sullivan and weathercaster Larry James, hosted music shows. It later became the country station "K-Frog", took the KFRQ call letters on March 1, 1992, and has been the rock station Q94.5 since 1995. The site features its on-air personality Rock-N-Roll James, a rock news wire and a request line.
RADIO JOX plays the station's StreamTheWorld (Triton Digital) stream. RADIO JOX built the address from StreamTheWorld's public pattern using the station's call letters, and the stream identifies itself as KFRQFM.
