About HOT 93.7
Hartford's #1 for hip-hop and R&B on 93.7 FM
HOT 93.7 is Audacy's hip-hop and R&B station for Hartford, and its logo calls it "Hartford's #1 for Hip Hop and R&B". Its FCC licence is for WZMX on 93.7 FM, licensed to Hartford, Connecticut, and held by Audacy License, LLC. The transmitter is on West Peak in Meriden.
The 93.7 frequency signed on in the late 1960s as WLVH, Connecticut's first Spanish-language radio station. In 1991 WLVH moved to AM 1550, and American Radio Systems took over 93.7. After a week of stunting with the local NOAA Weather Radio signal, it launched a hot adult contemporary format as WZMX "Mix 93.7", with the slogan "Four songs in a row - No talk". The call letters stayed when the station later became HOT 93.7.
RADIO JOX plays Audacy's own stream for the station. RADIO JOX built the address from Audacy's public Amperwave stream pattern using the station's call letters, and the stream identifies itself as HOT 93.7.
