About WAVE 101.1

Relaxing, refreshing music on 101.1 FM

WAVE 101.1 is a soft adult contemporary station serving Lee and Collier counties. Its own app describes it as "relaxing, refreshing music". Its FCC licence is for WAVV on 101.1 FM, licensed to Naples Park, Florida, and held by Fort Myers Broadcasting Company, which owns it alongside WINK-FM. The station's offices are at 12641 Corporate Lakes Drive in Fort Myers.

WAVV signed on May 30, 1987, licensed to Marco, with studios on Tamiami Trail East in Naples. It was built by Naples resident Norman Alpert, and its original playlist mixed middle-of-the-road vocals with instrumental covers. Its long-running Sunday-morning smooth jazz show is the "Sunday Champagne Jazz Brunch". The station moved its city of licence to Naples Park around 2008. The program director line is 239-338-4345.

RADIO JOX plays the station's StreamTheWorld (Triton Digital) stream. The official web player is built on Triton and is allowed to load streamtheworld.com. RADIO JOX built the address from StreamTheWorld's public pattern using the station's call letters, and the stream identifies itself as WAVVFM.
